DeLaVida—meaning “of the life”—is a dynamic NJ/NY-based collective dedicated to classic acoustic Afro-Latin music. Blending Afro-Cuban son montuno and Afro-Cumbia rhythms, the band delivers high-energy, groove-driven performances that captivate audiences. Featuring guitar/Cuban tres, upright bass, bari sax, rich percussion, and powerful vocals, their sound ignites the stage with “candela” fire. Formed in 2013, with a refreshed lineup in 2022, DeLaVida draws from traditional Latin roots and legendary influences to celebrate and reimagine timeless music.
