Mike Noordzy is a New Jersey-based bassist, composer, and educator, proficient on both upright and electric bass across jazz, rock, country, folk, and experimental styles. He holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Jazz Performance from Rutgers University’s Mason Gross School of the Arts. Noordzy teaches privately and at institutions including Rutgers University, Middlesex College, Hudson Music Studios, and Speak Music Conservatory. In addition to performing and recording, he composes music for film and runs the experimental label NACHT Records. His bass work appears on numerous recordings, and he is available for both in-person and remote studio sessions, bringing versatility and creativity to each project.
