Nat Janoff is a contemporary jazz guitarist, composer, and educator. A William Paterson University jazz alumnus, he transitioned from 1980s metal shredding to fusion-fueled improvisation. His debut album Looking Through, featuring Matthew Garrison and Gene Lake, established his reputation for formidable technique, dynamic original compositions, and accessible teaching methods.
