Rodrigo Bonelli is a Brazilian-born drummer, composer, and educator based in New York City. Endorsed by Canopus Drums, he is recognized for his sophisticated groove, stylistic versatility, and dynamic work in modern jazz and Brazilian music. His album Brooklyn Sessions with Brasil Trio +1 was considered for a 2021 Grammy nomination in the Latin Jazz category, while his release Septet Works features acclaimed artists Don Friedman and Mike Rodriguez. Bonelli has performed internationally alongside renowned musicians including George Garzone and Claudio Roditi. A 2022 Recording Academy voting member, he is also an active instructor and clinician throughout the U.S., Brazil, and Europe.
